Love (Jacob-Nice)

Well, it was a quick week but I guess I can give you some of the wonderful thoughts that were given to us by Elder Kearon after I ranted so heavily about him last week! It was so awesome, the many things that he shared .

One of the things that I got from the conference was that, first of all we are all free to choose. He showed this video of people on an escalator going up and then the escalator stops and they just sit there confused and basically just do not move even though they want to. I also realized that we do not all know our potential. We all are sons and daughters of God and we have the capacity to do great things but in order to do that 1) we need  to recognize our ability to act and above all our capacity and then 2) we need to choose. He said "Choose to be happy". 

One thing that he explained that had application about the idea to choose was our mornings. He quoted Elder Holland who talked about how looking at someone's morning can essentially determine the destiny of that person and how we need to be urgent and energetic and vigorous with our mornings.

It was amazing, his presentation. Elder Kearon is so Christ like and I wish you all could have been there because he is just extraordinary!! I don't know if it was just his British accent or what but he brought the spirit into the room so quickly!

I know that our Heavenly Father is there and that He loves each one of us individually!!!

Ps My Halloween experience seemed to be slightly different than yours. Essentially we were in Lyon walking back to the apartment around 8:30 pm and all of a sudden this crazy thing happens. This masked and costumed lady starts running towards us and she has this large knife! We all jumped and then realized what day it was. 

Questions:

How are you? Did you do anything fun for pday today?  I am doing really well. We relaxed a little today after a long week of travel and conferences.. We spent some time at the church having another little get together for Sister Johnson who is going home this next week.. 

What are you thinking about transfers next week? Haha I honestly dont know. Because there is a 4 week transfer next week it will be interesting to see. There are a lot of sisters leaving and lots of leaders going home so it is looking like a transfer change for sure. There was recently a case when two Elders stayed together for 3 transfers and the one who had been there one transfer longer stayed and the other left. So it could even happen like that. But yes we will be hearing Friday morning.

Any word on iPads at the Elder Kearon conference? We did not return with ipads like everyone thought. I am starting to think that they are not going to actually come. I dont know if you have heard anything?

I read an article that said it sometimes takes 6 months to get the iPads.  Western Europe was supposed to be the fall, so maybe in the spring? Haha yeah I imagine it will probably happen a little like that. It would just be lame to receive them within a couple of months before going home because it would be such a small amount of time.

What did you think of Switzerland?  I loved Switzerland!!! It is so CLEAN there!!! It reminds me a lot of Monaco (well at least Geneva does) because it is so clean and nice! We had swiss chocolate and that was so yummy!
